The consequent further development of hybrid technology has
inevitably lead to a CD player which combines the outstanding
sonic properties of the already legendary CD S3 with the smooth
sound of a tube. Here too we have a digital-to-analogue converter
of 24Bit/96kHz. Here too is the typically Vincent oversized
power supply taking care of the flawless, linear Class -A operation
in the output stage. Yet only here is where amplification is
taken over by tubes. Hence stings will sound warmer and you'll
likely going to hear the wood of a grand piano.
The musical timing is definitely maintained and an incredible
soundstage is created. With its weight of 9 kg this Vincent
is underlining the sheer craftsmanship and a fondness for perfection.
